In an engaging, fast-paced ten minutes a day, students continue to learn how sentences are constructed, recognize the parts of simple sentences, parts of speech, grammar and punctuation, while reinforcing the basic characteristics of narrative and expository/informational writing. Included in this resource: a week-at-a-glance, day-by-day teacher guide, weekly sentence-building word cards for creative work and learning stations, and related art pages to inspire thematic thinking and writing. There are enough weekly themes for 38 weeks of school, plus a bonus week at the end. In just ten minutes a day students not only learn how to write many types of sentences and build powerful vocabulary, but also become familiar with the conventions of genre. ELL, and Special Ed students will benefit from the lessons and methodology of this resource.
